Inside the Actors Struggle-Little Victories

Along the journey of your dreams, you will gain little victories that will make it worth every bit of the struggles. For me I had one the other day. Since I have moved to Nashville I have been trying to start a show of my own. The vision for what I wanted to do has stayed true, but small things have changed along the way. I was asked last month to start a webisode with Aud Co Nashville as I have discussed in past posts. The last one we taped was great content, but the video quality was nothing I could use to add to my reel. This past Tuesday September 17th we shot our second "The Chris Burkmenn Experience" with Jenn Bostic.

The results blew my mind. Jenn always brings the energy everywhere that she goes. She had just arrived back to the states from the UK. What an amazing trooper she is! Jenn wasn't feeling very well, but she came and helped me anyway. She marched through her performance with flying colors, and met with everyone in a meet and greet with a big smile. Nobody would ever have known she was sick because her attitude was terrific!

Then we moved onto filming our interview in the Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame. What a great place and I never had been there or thought to film there. When we were out of locations to film Gary the manager allowed us to shoot there. We went right through the interview with only 3 takes, and man was I extremely happy with the results. Spencer Glover came and assisted us in capturing these moments on film and when I say WOW, that is an understatement. His talent is unlike any other. The results from our webisode are Television quality. I would refer him to anyone! He has such a great heart and a true talent. He then sent me the final results within 24 hours. We then posted it online and the rest is history. I am so excited to move forward with such an amazing piece that will represent my dreams for everyone to see.

A few years ago I was fortunate enough to attend a class taught by Lance Smith. I hope he is able to see this video. He use to host CMT Top 20 Countdown and that was when the show was amazing. If he is able see it, I hope to make him proud. He is as close to Carson Daly and Ryan Seacrest that I have been fortunate enough to meet.

In everything all that I can say is that God linked all of these opportunities together. As always there were some road blocks before me. However; none of these things can stop the work of the Lord. I must trust in His ways because if it's in his plan, than I know that He will make ANYTHING happen. I cannot take credit for anything that has been happening in my life. All the glory goes to my Father.

It's the little victories that push us to keep going. No matter what is thrown at me I will know that I am daily  walking closer to my purpose. I know that the right people will see the webisode that we put together, and I believe amazing things will come from it.

Whatever stands in your way never let it stop you from continuing forward with what the Lord has promised you.

For Everything there is a season

As I think about my life, and reflect on all that God has given me the ability to do. So much has changed over the last couple of years, and what would make me think that things would stop changing because it is inevitable that things will continue to change. I look at my life and I am so thankful, God has given me so much and I truly believe that He has blessed me with so many amazing new opportunities! I have been blessed by my church, and the amazing family it has provided me. I have been given the ability to speak into peoples lives that I never would have thought would be possible. I am so humbled because that was never a goal for me, and yet it has blessed me beyond all words. Lately God has started to shake things up a bit for me as well, and I am still learning that I have so far to go. I am learning so much about where I am that it is crazy. Encouragement is like Water to the Soul, it makes Everything Grow

In life I think back on my journey, and I think about the things that truly matter along the road thus far. I remember people along the way that have encouraged me and supported me. I think most of us in life would agree that encouragement is so important. Most us crave the cheerleaders in life that root for us along the way. Many of us have our parents that have been a source of encouragement, our siblings can often offer support. Hopefully each of you have had a teacher or boss that have encouraged you as well.
