Chris Burkmenn's Blog

So excited to bring you another of my favorites that inspires me every time I hear the song. Today's #MusicMonday is a bit of a throw back, not all the to 80s or anything. Today I chose to feature Parachute's Something to Believe in from 2011. This song has a great beat and an amazing chorus. The songs is about a girl that he is in love with and she is Something to Believe in. I do not know the artists faith, but truly that is no the point of my blog. It is to bring positive music that can help encourage those that are around us. My faith is everything that I am, but to reach the world we music find beauty in all things.  I hope that you enjoy this track as much as I do. I hope that you find it worthy to be featured on this #MusicMonday.  My favorite part of the song is the end when a big choir sings the chorus with the band. It is everything you would imagine it would be. The song gives amazing imagery as if you are in a barren desert with no water and having lost hop...

Welcome to another #MusicMonday for April 1, 2013. I hope that you all had fantastic Easter with you and your family. The artist I am featuring this week is Jonathan Thulin and his song Dead Come to Life. Jonathan a native to Sweden is making waves in the Christian genre and has the potential to break into mainstream as well. It is an honor to know Jonathan and call him friend. I am happy to be featuring on the site for this very special #MusicMonday.  Here is my interview with Jonathan: Where do you get your influences musically especially for the concept of Dead Come to Life? Wow hard question! Music has always been a part of my emotion, it has somehow always connected me to how im feeling and has almost been an easier outlet than talking. I listen to many different kinds of music, from Brooke fraser to Linkin Park to Katy Perry. So all of these impressions kind of blend together and create the sound I have. I like to draw inspiration from many different places. ...

Music Monday back! This week we are bringing you a great new song, from an amazing new band.  This week we are featuring All Things New "New Man." The song was released on Itunes February 8, 2013. The song reached it to number one on Air1's Mixology live. Quite a big feat for the brand new band and the new song. New Man, about the beauty of being wiped clean of our past and having a fresh start with Christ. The song is an amazing first single for the bands debut album. Providing a great song providing encouragement to those who may have struggles with accepting the grace given to us when we accept Christ into our heart. I am so honored to feature this band. By far my favorite song at the moment and truly excited for the bands new material that will be coming out. No word on the release date of the bands full length album, but I will be eagerly waiting. Thank you All Things New for providing the world with the song that will lead so many new people to to Christ. ...
