A Tale of Living the Dream

Ever since I was a young boy I have been a big dreamer. Always believing that nothing could stop me. That there was not a goal to big. Nothing that could not be reached.

Starting when I first saw the show on Nickelodean, Kenan and Kel. I believed that I could be an actor. And I knew that one day I would be on that show. Several of you know, that I used to pretend I was Carson Daly hosting TRL in the mirror when I was a kid. To be honest, Sometimes I still do.

My dreams have always been so much bigger than myself, and at the time I thought I alone could reach them. Until one day I gave the Lord everything that I had. Every desire, goal, ambition, and my whole heart. Making Jesus my Lord and savior.

He has taught me so much through my walk, teaching me patience and trust. Many other things he has taught me, and without him I wouldn't be anywhere near these goals. He is my all, he is my everything. He is the reason that I get up in the morning. If it had not been for Jesus I would be living a life with no meaning.

One of the most amazing things in my life was Saturday, January 11th. I have been working up to this goal probably my whole life. Being a dreamer and striving for great things in my life. Journaling my ambitions and dreams. Doodling on paper my logos, studio sets, and interview questions. It all came full circle last weekend for me. When I shot 5 new episodes of The Chris Burkmenn Experience (My online webisode.)

The humbling moments are when the people around you believe in you, sometimes more than you believe in yourself. Which is why I surround myself with smarter people than myself. They are inventive, creative, and extraordinary people. Life can be meaningless if you don't keep those kind of people around you.

On my show, I was able to interview people who are touching lives well beyond my reach. They revealed their heart, dreams, and ambitions pouring them out on my show. A truly touching moment for all that are watching. I pinched myself several times that day. Thinking I need to wake up, because this is a dream.

My encouragement to you is that no matter where you are and no matter how big your dream may be, you must START somewhere. No matter what you think you may be lacking.

If Jesus placed the dreams in your heart, then you will achieve the goals. He never fails, his love lasts forever. Believe that you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you!

Watching my webisodes I hope that they can convince you that anything is possible! You can do it! Greater things are before you than were behind!

For Everything there is a season

As I think about my life, and reflect on all that God has given me the ability to do. So much has changed over the last couple of years, and what would make me think that things would stop changing because it is inevitable that things will continue to change. I look at my life and I am so thankful, God has given me so much and I truly believe that He has blessed me with so many amazing new opportunities! I have been blessed by my church, and the amazing family it has provided me. I have been given the ability to speak into peoples lives that I never would have thought would be possible. I am so humbled because that was never a goal for me, and yet it has blessed me beyond all words. Lately God has started to shake things up a bit for me as well, and I am still learning that I have so far to go. I am learning so much about where I am that it is crazy. Encouragement is like Water to the Soul, it makes Everything Grow

In life I think back on my journey, and I think about the things that truly matter along the road thus far. I remember people along the way that have encouraged me and supported me. I think most of us in life would agree that encouragement is so important. Most us crave the cheerleaders in life that root for us along the way. Many of us have our parents that have been a source of encouragement, our siblings can often offer support. Hopefully each of you have had a teacher or boss that have encouraged you as well.
