Seeking the Love of Fame(Deception) Encouragement Wednesday 4.0

The Bible mentions several times about being the least, humbling yourself and becoming a servant for the sake of Christ.

 Jesus set an example in the Bible because He was God in the flesh and yet, he humbled himself continually and served those around him.

 Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but made himself nothing, taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, ...
-Philippians 2:5-11

 This is contratary to what the world tells us that we need. The today being obcessed with youtube and finding over night success by becoming the next viral sensation. Giving us the self-gratification the by people knowing our name we are becoming something. The world chews you up and then spits you out. 

 Jesus set the standard because he gave us one of the greatest promises of all,
Then he said to them, "Whoever welcomes this little child in my name welcomes me; and whoever welcomes me welcomes the one who sent me. For he who is least among you all--he is the greatest."
-Luke 9:48

Comparing this to what E! news tell us it wouldn't make sense. They tell you to seek fame, and fortune. Where as Jesus says the least of you shall be greatest. A servant shall get farther than a Kardashians......

We believe this because Jesus was the least of all (in the world) and his name is still name above all names. I choose to believe in the example that Jesus set rather than the false hope Paris Hilton is setting.

Today I challenge you to follow as well. It will not always be easy, but Jesus did say that the road of the righteous is narrow and only few travel on it.

So today do all things in love, to serve is to love. Love Conquers all!

As I think about my life, and reflect on all that God has given me the ability to do. So much has changed over the last couple of years, and what would make me think that things would stop changing because it is inevitable that things will continue to change. I look at my life and I am so thankful, God has given me so much and I truly believe that He has blessed me with so many amazing new opportunities! I have been blessed by my church, and the amazing family it has provided me. I have been given the ability to speak into peoples lives that I never would have thought would be possible. I am so humbled because that was never a goal for me, and yet it has blessed me beyond all words. Encouragement is like Water to the Soul, it makes Everything Grow

In life I think back on my journey, and I think about the things that truly matter along the road thus far. I remember people along the way that have encouraged me and supported me. I think most of us in life would agree that encouragement is so important. Most us crave the cheerleaders in life that root for us along the way. Many of us have our parents that have been a source of encouragement, our siblings can often offer support. Hopefully each of you have had a teacher or boss that have encouraged you as well.
