Never allow the distractions to overshine the opportunity- Encouragement Wednesday- May 7th

In life we make excuses, so many of them! I don't have enough time, I am running late, I will call them back, etc. We are thrown off if our day doesn't go our way. We are angered if our favorite place is out of our normal item. We get bitter if our friend cancels on us. 

What if we looked at all of this as a grand adventure. When the obstacle arises we move forward in the sense of nothing is going to get me down, and I am going to live like there is no tomorrow.T urning our can't into opportunities to do great things. Changing the set back to a set up. As we are being postured into the ability to live for the moment we are in. 

If we are running late then may we look at it with the possibility that you are being delayed from an accident. If you are behind and you are waiting in a line at McDonalds there may be someone you might need to bless for the day; maybe with your smile, your words, or with a meal. 

The amazing thing is that this world may try to break us, but it cannot. 

Jesus said to us:
“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
John 16:33

No matter what is against us, the mountains bow down to Him. He is greater and he will see each of us through what we may be going through.

Never allow the distractions to overshine the opportunity.

I am guilty in all of these things as well. I don't want you to read this thinking I am free of this and I am preaching at you. I am ministering to myself through this. So if you don't agree that is okay because I needed to hear this.

I want to look at everyday as though Jesus is standing before me and I need to reach out to him because it is in Him that I have rest. It is in Him I gain my strength.

We will never have all the answers as to why, but to be true the answers will never really answer the question they will only create more.

Today be encouraged because Jesus acknowledged the struggle, He wants to get you through it.

For Everything there is a season

As I think about my life, and reflect on all that God has given me the ability to do. So much has changed over the last couple of years, and what would make me think that things would stop changing because it is inevitable that things will continue to change. I look at my life and I am so thankful, God has given me so much and I truly believe that He has blessed me with so many amazing new opportunities! I have been blessed by my church, and the amazing family it has provided me. I have been given the ability to speak into peoples lives that I never would have thought would be possible. I am so humbled because that was never a goal for me, and yet it has blessed me beyond all words. Lately God has started to shake things up a bit for me as well, and I am still learning that I have so far to go. I am learning so much about where I am that it is crazy. Encouragement is like Water to the Soul, it makes Everything Grow

In life I think back on my journey, and I think about the things that truly matter along the road thus far. I remember people along the way that have encouraged me and supported me. I think most of us in life would agree that encouragement is so important. Most us crave the cheerleaders in life that root for us along the way. Many of us have our parents that have been a source of encouragement, our siblings can often offer support. Hopefully each of you have had a teacher or boss that have encouraged you as well. Looking back on my life I have had some great support in chasing my dreams. I remember I was in the 8th grade at Mascoutah Middle School when I auditioned to host our talent show.
