Welcome to an ALL NEW #MusicMonday! This week we are bringing you so much more!! Last week I was on youtube and I was listening to some music that I was familiar with and I really enjoyed. I came across an artist that I had never heard of and was completely in awe of his music. So I found him on twitter and started following him along with sending him some tweets. He responded and granted to me an interview.

 I am honored to feature Lancifer's, "It's Chill" this week on #MusicMonday.

 Lancifer is a refreshing new sound in the world. Bringing a hip hop/rap flavor. In his music video for It's Chill, he brings Meekakitty. Together they are a driving force to be reckoned with, providing amazing dance moves and inspiring lyrics to the song. One of my favorite things about Lancifer is that he is a Christian and he is not shy about his faith. It plays such a huge role in his life and music.  Our interview:
CB-It's Chill, is your new single and is getting a lot of attention on several outlets I've seen, How does that make you feel? How long have you been working on your music/style. When did you start performing and fine tuning your gift?

Lancifer-It's awesome :) It was a lot of fun to work on that video and I'm glad a lot of people are getting to see it. I have been playing music since elementary school and played drums for Screamo bands for a while. I started rapping as a joke and ended up doing it and loving it. I was real bad for a long time and after playing for some successful rock bands in Nashville, Tn I learned a lot about songwriting and producing and performing and have been working real hard the last few years to make it the best.

CB-Where do you get your influences musically especially for the concept of It's Chill?

Lancifer-It's Chill started out as honing in on the idea that God has a plan for your life and even when things look rough your gonna be okay and.... It's Chill. haha You can really apply to a lot in your life :) Other songs are about anything from my struggle to me and my producer going out and sneaking into hot tub haha.

CB-How does your Faith effect your music?

Lanicfer-My faith is at the frontlines of everything in my life, and though I am pursuing a mainstream anyone and everyone market, my faith will always be at the heart of it and everyone that knows who I am will know one thing about me. That I love Jesus and do what I do for him.

CB-Have you ever been asked to compromise your values in order to become a hit, and how did you respond?

Lanicfer-Totally. Doing pop/hip-hop music is really hard to fit in that market when everything other artists in that market are singing about is the worst stuff possible. haha. But my faith is more important to me than music or anything. I have turned down collaborations with major label artists and rappers because of their lyrical content and image. But also there are cool opportunities to be a light in the darkness, like touring and being featured on different things :) 

CB-As an artist when will you feel like you have finally made it. What is your ultimate goal in your artistry?

Lancifer-Honestly, I have made it in so many ways I never even thought I would. But my utmost goal and I believe God's is for me to get to the top. Radio, worldwide touring, movies and tv, Bieber and Gaga status. :) 

CB-What is next for you? What is coming down the pike? (Tour, New Music, Music video, etc) Anything you can hint or tell the readers?

Lanicfer-A lot :) haha New songs, New music videos, Full U.S. touring, International touring, etc. Look out for my new single "Bring Your Bass (Let's Drop It)" on February 15th and then a music video, and my full U.S. tour dates are listed at Facebook.com/LanciferMusic :)

As I think about my life, and reflect on all that God has given me the ability to do. So much has changed over the last couple of years, and what would make me think that things would stop changing because it is inevitable that things will continue to change. I look at my life and I am so thankful, God has given me so much and I truly believe that He has blessed me with so many amazing new opportunities! In life I think back on my journey, and I think about the things that truly matter along the road thus far. I remember people along the way that have encouraged me and supported me. I think most of us in life would agree that encouragement is so important. Most us crave the cheerleaders in life that root for us along the way. Many of us have our parents that have been a source of encouragement, our siblings can often offer support. Hopefully each of you have had a teacher or boss that have encouraged you as well.
