Matt Hires Featured on Music Monday

Today the song of the day is Restless Heart by Matt Hires, one of the best songs coming into 2013. It's refreshing catchy positive message is unescapable. With an amazing instrumental featured on the CD. 

 Matt has been on the music scene for quite sometime, but is gaining some attention from mainstream. 

 Today I bring attention to this amazing young man who is bound to be music's next big thing. So please join me in supporting Matt Hires. His song Restless Heart is on Itunes.com as well as Spotify.

 Back story on Matt:

As a cabinet store worker by day and a musician by night, Hires always had a heroic passion for music. Matt’s father, also a musician, introduced him to music at a young age, giving him the handmade guitar that Matt continues to play. Initially drawn to the punk, Post-hardcore, and Emo scenes, Matt later developed an interest in artists like Tom Petty and Bob Dylan, which explains the uniqueness of his vocal and instrumental harmonies that dabble in both traditional and contemporary musical realms.
Hires began his music career as frontman for Tampa, FL based band Brer. the band's debut record, Microwavable, was produced by Will Denton, longtime drummer for Steven Curtis Chapman. Atlantic Records A&R executive, Gregg Nadel, fell in love with his sound. Soon Hires began working with producer Eric Rosse (Sara Bareilles, Tori Amos, David Archuleta), and together they recorded his first full-length record.

As I think about my life, and reflect on all that God has given me the ability to do. So much has changed over the last couple of years, and what would make me think that things would stop changing because it is inevitable that things will continue to change. I look at my life and I am so thankful, God has given me so much and I truly believe that He has blessed me with so many amazing new opportunities! I have been blessed by my church, and the amazing family it has provided me. I have been given the ability to speak into peoples lives that I never would have thought would be possible. In life I think back on my journey, and I think about the things that truly matter along the road thus far. I remember people along the way that have encouraged me and supported me. I think most of us in life would agree that encouragement is so important. Most us crave the cheerleaders in life that root for us along the way.
