Be the Change you Wish to See

Where ever you may be finding this letter, may it be five years after I wrote it. I pray that it makes as much an impact as it did on me when I first discovered it. I pray that any situation you are in may God do wonders in your life, for His glory. I pray blessings and favor over your life.

 Nothing has made the impact on my life as Christ did the day I committed my life fully to him. If you have not accepted Jesus in your heart as your Lord and Savior I pray that today be your day.

 In life, we have the choice whether it be to conform to the world or help change it. Nothing can be done in our own strength we must first realize this, and from there everything else is by faith. 

 Have you ever asked yourself, "What kind of impact do I want to make on this world?" I know most of us have, most of us in vain. "How can I get people to know me" or "How can I live forever?" Well let me give your some relief to that question, and the honest answer is you can't. However, you can help spread the Gospel, and let Christ's name live forever and ever.

 One of the most successful ways this can be done is through love and serving. So much of the world is lacking love. Desiring to be wanted by the wrong things searching for things that will never and cannot fill the voids. But I am here to tell you that you can be the change we want to see in the world.

 As it has been said, "We must be the change we wish to see." 

 That is our charge, it is our mission. Better this world and help better the people.

 Where ever you are and whatever you are going through the only way that we can get out of our mess is by helping.

 You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.
~Ephesians 4:22-24

 The true test is what we do, with what God has given us, and he has given each of us the ability to help change the world. Make it better, and help defeat the enemy.

 In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.
~Matthew 5:16

 Let us not lose sight of our ultimate goal and that is to have eternal life. To not die, but to live forever.

 I pray that you take this message to the streets and pour into the next generation. May you serve in the homeless shelter, and may you get involved in a church. Our lives are not own they were purchased with a price.

 May the blood of Jesus wash us clean.

 My life has been impacted by serving in the youth at my church, the Oasis Church in Nashville, TN with Velocity Youth Culture. They have made it so much better, I would love to say that I have made theirs better, but the truth is they have honestly made mine better. When you love someone else you forget about the troubles of this world, you forget about your problems. In all things our problems do not matter because our situations are never permanent they are only temporary.

 So today I challenge you and whoever else you may share this with today, get your minds off yourself and on others and see your life transform.

 I thank you for reading this and I pray that you be transformed, may you go out and change the world.

As I think about my life, and reflect on all that God has given me the ability to do. So much has changed over the last couple of years, and what would make me think that things would stop changing because it is inevitable that things will continue to change. I look at my life and I am so thankful, God has given me so much and I truly believe that He has blessed me with so many amazing new opportunities! I have been blessed by my church, and the amazing family it has provided me. I have been given the ability to speak into peoples lives that I never would have thought would be possible. I am so humbled because that was never a goal for me, and yet it has blessed me beyond all words. Encouragement is like Water to the Soul, it makes Everything Grow

In life I think back on my journey, and I think about the things that truly matter along the road thus far. I remember people along the way that have encouraged me and supported me. I think most of us in life would agree that encouragement is so important. Most us crave the cheerleaders in life that root for us along the way. Many of us have our parents that have been a source of encouragement, our siblings can often offer support. Hopefully each of you have had a teacher or boss that have encouraged you as well.
