When you are going through a storm......

Why in life do I fight so hard to avoid going through troubles? Times I know that I am going to have to go through these things. It's scary because some how I believe that I will never get through. As if I am afraid that God will forget me, and I will never get back what I had. It hurts to have to go through these seasons, and no one likes being uncomfortable. We want life to be a cake walk. Looking at God and saying just fill me up don't actually make me go through these hards times just give me the wisdom without actually going through any of it.

Unfortunately, that is not the way that life works. We have to get uncomfortable in order to grow. It is not always fun, heck it's never fun.....but I think you could look at it as if God is giving you that provision, that trust that he believes that you can get through these things with him. Our God shall never leave us in the middle of our troubles. He has promised to get us through to the other side.

It is also hard because we become so vunerable. Something that we as humans never want to admitt, but it happens. That is exactly where God wants us so that we are closer to him. There are seasons of Ministry and then there are seasons of Studying. This season I am learning that I have to make time for both in this season, which has been quite amazing!

2011 began with some struggles in my life. It was as if I couldn't catch my breath, and I was going through things that I never would have expected to have gone through. Disappointments that I placed in myself. But Gods Mercy and Grace got me through.

I reflect on inspiring scripture that is encouraging to me: Matthew 8:23-27, Matthew 6:23-33, Galatians 5:1-3, Jeremiah 29:11, Mark 4:38,

Songs that have gotten to place of peace: "Father's Heart" Hillsong, "Holy is The Lord" Chris Tomlin, "Greatness of Our God" Natalie Grant

I wondered why I was going through these struggles so early in the year and God spoke and said you did MC the New Year's Eve Party for Velocity. And you thought the enemy wouldn't attack you...... We have to go Bold in our faith, and with Boldness comes trials. That is growth.

So if I can encourage you with anything it is:
Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass,
It's about dancing in the rain."

I know that 2011 is going to bring some pretty amazing things!!!

For Everything there is a season

As I think about my life, and reflect on all that God has given me the ability to do. So much has changed over the last couple of years, and what would make me think that things would stop changing because it is inevitable that things will continue to change. I look at my life and I am so thankful, God has given me so much and I truly believe that He has blessed me with so many amazing new opportunities! I have been blessed by my church, and the amazing family it has provided me. I have been given the ability to speak into peoples lives that I never would have thought would be possible. I am so humbled because that was never a goal for me, and yet it has blessed me beyond all words. Lately God has started to shake things up a bit for me as well, and I am still learning that I have so far to go. I am learning so much about where I am that it is crazy. Encouragement is like Water to the Soul, it makes Everything Grow

In life I think back on my journey, and I think about the things that truly matter along the road thus far. I remember people along the way that have encouraged me and supported me. I think most of us in life would agree that encouragement is so important. Most us crave the cheerleaders in life that root for us along the way. Many of us have our parents that have been a source of encouragement, our siblings can often offer support. Hopefully each of you have had a teacher or boss that have encouraged you as well. Looking back on my life I have had some great support in chasing my dreams. I remember I was in the 8th grade at Mascoutah Middle School when I auditioned to host our talent show.
