So excited to bring you another of my favorites that inspires me every time I hear the song. Today's #MusicMonday is a bit of a throw back, not all the to 80s or anything. Today I chose to feature Parachute's Something to Believe in from 2011. This song has a great beat and an amazing chorus. The songs is about a girl that he is in love with and she is Something to Believe in. I do not know the artists faith, but truly that is no the point of my blog. It is to bring positive music that can help encourage those that are around us. My faith is everything that I am, but to reach the world we music find beauty in all things.  I hope that you enjoy this track as much as I do. Life and Media Why do we so badly want to be a part of a celebrity life? We watch shows that glamorize being popular. Longing to be in the in crowd. Feeling a sense of deprivation because we are not in the elite. Feeling as though we know these stars: Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber, Ellen, and any other that come to mind. We want to be in that club, we want to have as many followers, likes, retweets, shares, and anything that comes with it. We feel as though we should have those things it's a sense of entitlement. "Well if Ellen has that many likes on her photo then I should too." Almost missing the message of what life truly is and the possibility that we may never have those things. We may never have 1.4 million likes on our Instagram account. We may never be sitting in that chair next to Ellen. I often think if I could go back, what would I tell myself. How would I best equip myself with the knowledge and wisdom to gain in my past years. I wanted to write a letter to myself a year ago giving the best advice I could give my 26 year old self. Dear 26, This year will begin for you as a journey through a time that you will never forget. You will achieve things that you had only dreamed of in the past. It will take require a lot of courage from you, and it will not be comfortable. You will need to push past the adversity. Dreams are a funny thing and can be scary, but what in life isn't scary. After this year you will learn that nothing in life is guaranteed, and everything is worked for.
