Be Affirmed- Encouragement Wednesday 6.0

Image
Have you ever heard of the word affirmation? Affirm: 1. State as a fact; assert strongly and publicly. 2. Declare one's support for; uphold or defend.  Some of you may have never known the word or seen the word applied.  Affirmation we often seek from man, needing to be valiadated. Getting out worth from the world. It can be very gratifying to the world and it's ways.  Men and women receive affirmation differently. I am sure through reading this you already have several ways that we differ in this area. As a man we usaually like to affirm descretely as a "Good game," "Nice work." Women can tend to be a little bit more gushy. Which is not a bad thing because we go to each for different things. Men and women balance it out we receieve it from both, but at different times. When we hurt ourselves as a child we usually go to our mother because they understand and they will let us be  as hurt as we want to be. When we just shot a bullseye or scored

Young Boy Helps Change the World- Heroic Thursday

Image
Today I honor a young boy by the name of Zach Bonner. You may or may not know him from his service to his community or even by helping change the world. When Bonner was seven years old, he founded the organization to aid the 1.3 million homeless children in the United States. Bonner said that, "These kids don't have a home, they don't have a safe place to sleep at night. They're out on the streets not because they want to be, but because it's out of their control. Bonner has contributed many efforts to those around him, including organizing several marches across the country. All for the heart to help raise awareness for homeless children. Walking several thousands of miles all over the United States. Bonner has done a variety of volunteer work since he was six years old. In 2004, when Hurricane Charley hit neighborhoods, he collected 27 pickup trucks of water in his little red wagon. He established the Little Red Wagon Foundation to "continue helping

All Things New- New Man- Featured Music Monday

Image
Music Monday back! This week we are bringing you a great new song, from an amazing new band.  This week we are featuring All Things New "New Man." The song was released on Itunes February 8, 2013. The song reached it to number one on Air1's Mixology live. Quite a big feat for the brand new band and the new song. New Man, about the beauty of being wiped clean of our past and having a fresh start with Christ. The song is an amazing first single for the bands debut album. Providing a great song providing encouragement to those who may have struggles with accepting the grace given to us when we accept Christ into our heart. I am so honored to feature this band. By far my favorite song at the moment and truly excited for the bands new material that will be coming out. No word on the release date of the bands full length album, but I will be eagerly waiting. Thank you All Things New for providing the world with the song that will lead so many new people to to Christ.

Chains be Broken-Encouragement Wednesday 5.0

Image
One of the verses that is tugging at my heart at the moment is: Formerly, when you did not know God,  you were slaves  to those who by nature are not gods.   But now that you know God—or rather are known by God —how is it that you are turning back to those weak and miserable forces? Do you wish to be enslaved  by them all over again? -Galatians 4:8-9 Just thinking about how amazing God is. How much He has saved us from. It's incredible to think about where we would be if the world was our ultimate goal, but it's not Jesus died for us. He transformed us the day that he changed our heart. The ways of the enemy no longer hold us back the chains are broken. This verse has such an impact on me because no matter what God's way is better, and if I am walking daily with him nothing else but Him has the power to set me free. I hope today that you can find encouragement in this to know that no matter what you are going through God can and will get you through it. The ways

Chris Kyle Navy Seal Remembered

Image
Today we honor Chris Kyle, a former Navy Seal. Protecting and defending our country for the name of America. Kyle was one of America's deadliest military snipers.  The Pentagon said his skills with a rifle so terrorized Iraqi insurgents during his four tours of duty that they nicknamed him the “Devil of Ramadi” and put a bounty on his head. He returned home to become a best selling author and also mentored several other veterans.  On Saturday Kyle was turned on by Eddie Ray Routh. O fficials said that for reasons that were still unclear, Mr. Routh shot and killed both Kyle and another man(Chad Littlefield) with a semiautomatic handgun before fleeing in a pickup truck belonging to Mr. Kyle.  More information is being released on this story. For more detailed information go to: http://www.nytimes.com/2013/02/04/us/chris-kyle-american-sniper-author-reported-killed.html?_r=0 Today we honor Chris Kyle for the American Hero he was. It's Chill-Lancifer-Featured for Music Monday

Image
Lanicfer's 2012's It's Chill-EP Cover. Welcome to an ALL NEW #MusicMonday! This week we are bringing you so much more!! Last week I was on youtube and I was listening to some music that I was familiar with and I really enjoyed. I came across an artist that I had never heard of and was completely in awe of his music. So I found him on twitter and started following him along with sending him some tweets. He responded and granted to me an interview. I am honored to feature Lancifer's, "It's Chill" this week on #MusicMonday. Lancifer is a refreshing new sound in the world. Bringing a hip hop/rap flavor. In his music video for It's Chill, he brings Meekakitty. Together they are a driving force to be reckoned with, providing amazing dance moves and inspiring lyrics to the song. One of my favorite things about Lancifer is that he is a Christian and he is not shy about his faith. It plays such a huge role in his life and music. I hope that you will tak
